I believe that as children grow and develop they can sometimes get stuck in maladaptive patterns of behavior that can be difficult for parents to deal with. My role as a therapist is to gain an understanding of your child’s view of the world and the role in the family, identify misperceptions, then work with you and your child to develop a more fulfilling, enjoyable relationship.
Working with children in a variety of settings over the past 15+ years has provided me with a unique perspective and experience base. I have a flexible style which allows me to tailor my approach to fit the specific needs of your child. I have specialized training in Child Centered Play Therapy, Theraplay, and Parent Child Interaction Therapy.
My goal is to meet you and your child where you are and work together to improve your child’s level of functioning and provide you both with additional skills to increase cooperation and positive connection.
